The Master of Horticultural Science is breeding a new generation of horticulturalists with the required acumen in crop technology, project and financial planning, personnel management, information systems and marketing to keep the industry at the top of its game.
It allows for applied specialisation in management and related disciplines and offers unlimited research opportunities in a rapidly expanding area of study.
Candidates for the M.Hort.Sc. will have qualified for a Bachelor of Horticultural Science, Bachelor of Horticultural Science with Honours or equivalent.
Students will normally take a minimum of two academic years to complete a M.Hort.Sc. by examination and thesis.
Students will normally take a minimum of one academic year to complete the requirements of the degree.
The taught component comprises 120 credits at 600 level selected from the master's degree courses offered at Lincoln Univeristy.
The course of study must be approved by the Academic Co-ordinator having regard to coherence and relevance.
