What to expect at different alert levels

The University follows the Ministry of Education’s guidelines for Tertiary Education Organisations on operating under different Alert Levels.

At Lincoln University, regardless of the alert level:

  • All course material will be made available online via Akoraka |Learn. This means we can support students who are unable to return to campus for various reasons
  • Akoraka |Learn remains the main place for all course information. Any course updates or changes will be communicated via Akoraka |Learn
  • If you have any questions or require more information you are encouraged to contact your lecturers or course examiners

Campus activities Campus is open for all usual activities.

Campus is open with physical distancing restrictions and health requirements.

Non-teaching gatherings are limited to no more than 100 people.

Teaching

Teaching and learning activities will be face-to-face, including lectures, labs, tutorials, field trips etc.

All exams, assessments, or alternative assessments scheduled in semester are online, with exceptions being labs or similar types of assessments.

Research All postgraduate research continues in line with government guidelines. All postgraduate research continues in line with government guidelines.

All postgraduate research activities should be done remotely, where possible.

Research activity based in laboratories will be allowed subject to a case-by-case approval process.

Only postgraduate research activities supporting the government’s response to COVID-19 are allowed.

All facilities on campus are open, including the library, Recreation Centre, Grounded, Mrs O’s and the Student Health Centre.

The University’s student accommodation is open.

Student health and counselling services are available.

All facilities on campus remain open, including the library, Recreation Centre, Grounded, Mrs O’s, with physical distancing measures in place.

  • The library, which will operate as a click and collect service only
  • Student Accommodation which remains open, however strict physical distancing and bubbles apply
