The Barenbrug Plant Science Innovation Undergraduate Scholarship was established in 2023 to support a full-time student in their second year of study at Lincoln University.

Candidates may be asked to attend an interview as part of the selection process.

Applicants who are planning on undertaking second- or third-year full-time study at Lincoln University, are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate a preference for a career in arable farming, horticulture science, plant science, soil science and farm management.
