What you will learn

After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:

  1. Critically analyse key concepts relating to labour management including labour market assessment, New Zealand labour law, employer-employee relationships and working with migrants.
  2. Analyse and create material that relates to ‘Human Resources’ activities such as recruitment, engagement, induction, performance review, disputes, dismissals and personal grievances through the completion of assigned tasks. 
  3. Review and summarise relevant literature, create novel insights (research project), write a report and present their findings.
  4. Career planning skills through their ability to express their career aspirations and incorporation of these within the course activities.
