Lincoln University Tihi Kahuraki Scholarship

​This scholarship supports Māori students who are entering their first year of undergraduate study and who show strong leadership and engagement in their whānau, hapū, marae or community.​

Value

Up to $19,000 per year to contribute towards on-campus accommodation costs and tuition fees for three years of study.

Selection Criteria

Applicants must have demonstrated leadership potential in the Māori community.

You will need to submit:

  • A two-minute video demonstrating your involvement in whānau, hapū or community activities
  • A list outlining your leadership in projects (mahika kai, marae, hapū, whenua, kapa haka, te reo or mana korero) environmental or other culturally significant activities
  • Two references (one character reference and one academic reference).
