Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki Lincoln University is committed to equity and diversity and seeks to provide a safe, inclusive, respectful and welcoming environment - both physical and digital - in which students and staff are supported towards achieving their full potential. Gender Equity Plan
Lincoln University is committed to promoting gender equity. The organisation has dedicated resources, policies and expertise to address gender bias and unconscious bias. Our policies ensure equality for women and minority groups across the student, academic and professional staff community. We have dedicated resources of a Human Resource team, an Employee Assistance Programme and an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Steering Group.

The University has dedicated resources of a Human Resource team, an Employee Assistance Programme and an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Steering Group.
Lincoln University staff have access to free training courses on Understanding Unconscious Bias. A Career Development Programme for Women is offered.
We provide gender-disaggregated data on our personnel and students in our Annual Report.
The Staff Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Steering Group
The EDI Steering Group is responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages the recruitment, development and retention of a diverse community of high-performing staff.
The group is chaired by the Executive Director, People, Culture and Wellbeing.

Pride Pledge
Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki Lincoln University has taken the Pride Pledge.
We are passionate about inclusion, diversity and belonging at Lincoln University, and are on a journey of creating a safe community for all our tauira. This is one step we're taking while we work toward a campus that celebrates diversity at all levels.
We commit to all LGBTTQIA+ (rainbow) people having the freedom to be safe, included, healthy and visible and we will use our voice to actively support and celebrate rainbow communities.
