Kaiwhakarite Tauira Student Buddy Programme

At Lincoln, we understand the transition to university can be both exciting and overwhelming.

That’s why we’ve launched the Student Buddy programme, which is all about helping you to settle in and get your uni experience off to a great start.

What are student buddies?

Student buddies are current students ready to help you navigate your first year at LU. The programme is open to all students, and you can sign up at any time. When you do, you will be paired up with one go-to person who can give you some guidance and help you to feel more comfortable.

Watch the video's below from two student buddy volunteers who explain more about how a student buddy will connect with you and support you at LU.

Why have a student buddy?

Beginning university is a big life change so it’s invaluable to have someone who can answer all your questions, point you in the right direction if you get lost, introduce you to some new friends and show you our campus resources.

You can sign up for the programme at any time by registering with the Student Experience team.

Watch our video's below from two students who share their experiences of being buddied by volunteer of the Kaiwhakarite Tauira programme.
