Honours degrees allow an extra year of study at the end of your undergraduate degree to further develop your education within your chosen area of study.

An approved undergraduate degree with a minimum of B+ or higher in 300-level courses.
If English isn’t your first language, other entry requirements will apply.
Taught master's degrees are usually carried out through course work only, although some can include a dissertation. They typically take between 12-18 months, and take less time to complete than a research masters.
Taught master's usually consists of either:
• 12 month duration (120 credits)
• 18 month duration (180 credits)
• Or two years (240 credits) and includes a 40 credit dissertation.

A relevant degree with a B average or better in the final year (full-time equivalent courses)
- For the 120 credit master’s (thesis only) a relevant postgraduate honours degree with Second Class Honours, Division One equivalent or higher.

A research master's is one of our highest pre-doctorate qualifications. You will develop a thesis and study in your chosen area.
Research master's consist of either;
- Two years duration (240 credits) - one year coursework, one year thesis
- One year duration - thesis only (120 credits).

A relevant postgraduate honours degree awarded with a minimum second class honours (division one or equivalent).
Your previous qualification must include a significant research component, incorporating a thesis, dissertation or project.
