What you will learn
After successfully completing this course, you will be able to:
- Practice the financial administration of a rural business including bookkeeping, budgeting, assessing performance, business planning and strategic development.
- Identify best practice as a farm owner or industry professional considering input from a wide range of industry bodies including councils, government departments, farm input suppliers, consultants, financiers, and food industry companies.
- Perform consultant-level assessment for land-use change, including biological limitations, finance practices, project management and long-term investment analysis.
- Critically analyse key policies, practices, rules, and laws in relation to agricultural production, farm practices, employment, and business.
- Write, present, and communicate, both written and verbally, in a concise and persuasive professional manner, both individually and as part of a team.
