What you will learn
After successfully completing this course, you will be able to:
1. Practice the financial administration of a rural business including bookkeeping, budgeting, assessing performance, business planning and strategic development.
2. Identify best practice as a farm owner or industry professional considering input from a wide range of industry bodies including councils, government departments, farm input suppliers, consultants, financiers, and food industry companies.
3. Perform consultant-level assessment for land-use change, including biological limitations, finance practices, project management and long-term investment analysis.
4. Critically analyse key policies, practices, rules, and laws in relation to agricultural production, farm practices, employment, and business.
5. Write, present, and communicate, both written and verbally, in a concise and persuasive professional manner, both individually and as part of a team.
