Our Campus
We combine learning and research to cultivate vibrant connections, communication and collaboration between students, as well as nurturing a healthy relationship with the environment.
Our 120ha campus environment is a lush, open environment located in the town of Lincoln, 20 kilometres from Christchurch.
We offer world-leading academic instruction and carry out breakthrough research in a beautiful environment with welcoming, inclusive social spaces and inviting leisure facilities. A focus on social wellbeing and environmental sustainability is applied to all corners of the Lincoln experience. At Lincoln, you’ll grow your best future.
Faculties
Teaching and research at Lincoln University is delivered through three faculties. These are supported by a specialised division that prepares students for university education.
- Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce
- Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences
- Faculty of Environment, Society and Design
- University Studies and English Language Division
Lincoln Agritech Limited
Lincoln Agritech is a wholly-owned university subsidiary that develops leading-edge engineering and science technologies to benefit the agricultural industries.
Research Management Office
We oversee 17 research centres and collaborations, which are managed through our Research Management Office. The centres' work focuses on the sustainable management of New Zealand’s precious resources, in ways that support the social, environmental and economic value of agribusiness, food and our country’s biodiversity.
Our farms
To provide advanced hands-on practical experience for our students, we operate seven South Island farms. These also allow us to share best-practice techniques with commercial farmers and apply leading-edge research-based solutions for more sustainable farming.
