Soil Chemistry

You’ll be tasked with selecting a soil chemistry topic and preparing a report that reaches the standards of a scientific article.

Please note: This course can’t be fully completed online as you will need to be on campus to complete some activities.

What you will learn

After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the processes, reactions and inter-relationships involved in the fluxes of chemicals in soils and plants.
  2. Use library resources, internet search engines, especially literature databases (Web of Science, Scopus).
  3. Write a succinct scientific report in the format of a journal literature review article.
  4. Provide a short presentation of the report, demonstrating understanding of the key points to people not familiar with the topic.
