Getting to Open Day
Take a bus or your own transport. Lincoln is only 20 minutes from Christchurch City Centre.
Parking
Free event parking will be available in the Orchard Road Car Park (Gate 3) and the Springs Road Overflow Car Park (opposite the Orchard Car Park).
- For the safety of our students and event attendees, a temporary traffic management plan will be in place for Open Day along Springs Road, including a reduced speed limit of 30kmh and a temporary pedestrian island between Springs Road Car Park and Orchard Car Park.
Check-in for Open Day will be in Memorial Hall follow the wayfinding signs when you arrive.
Shuttle services
If you are arriving at Christchurch Airport and need assistance travelling to Lincoln University there are local shuttle services available. NZ Look Shuttles operate between Christchurch and Selwyn, where Lincoln is located. Costs and online bookings are available on their website.
Public transport
The main bus stop is outside the Student and Vistors Centre in the George Forbes building accessed from the Gate 1 campus entrance.
Catch the 80 to Lincoln Township from Christchurch Bus Interchange or 820 to Rolleston and Springston.

If you need accommodation you can stay near to the University in Lincoln Township or in Christchurch (Riccarton is a handy location to stay and is only about 25 mins drive).

With 3 cafes on campus for staff, students and the public, there are multiple food options available to purchase at Open Day. You'll find everything from tasty comfort foods to fresh, healthy bites and hot drinks ensuring there's something for the whole family during your time on campus.
Love takeaway coffee? Our cafes support Lincoln University’s sustainability initiatives and do not have single-use coffee cups on campus. We offer reusable steel cups, silicone lids and cardboard heat sleeves, which are available by $4 deposit and return. Alternatively you can reduce single cup waste by bringing along your own mug or reusable cup to enjoy a delicious, sustainable coffee.
