Lincoln’s diverse student body is a highlight of Porawee’s study at the university.

What I enjoy the most is getting to know many people from all around the world,” she said.

Her comments reflect how students from around 80 countries have chosen Lincoln, and that the academic faculty is comprised of experts from around the globe.

“The reason why I chose this particular course for study because in the nearly future this course will be useful in my future work and it might become significant in the world.

“The reason why I chose to come to Lincoln University because I wanted to expand the knowledge for myself from what I have had studied back home,’ she said.

She found Lincoln’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme useful.

“The EAP really helped me to get ready for my study in the way of working on report writing, as in my current study I have to work on many reports so it was very useful for me. I could improve my reading skills and also writing skills.”

She is keen to stay on after her study.

“I probably try to get a job in my field in New Zealand. My purposed is to get as many experiences in New Zealand as much as I can.”

She enjoyed her courses, and the events and activities at Lincoln, and described her lecturers as helpful and kind.

Porawee said she couldn’t find a similar course in Thailand, but it wasn’t her only recommendation for other students to come to Lincoln.

“It has many things more than study here.”
