Ritu Devi, Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce

Alumna Ritu Devi does not hold back asked when asked to describe Lincoln University in three words.

She says it is a “temple of education”.

“Every student should worship it.”

Ritu is from Haryana in Northern India and did a Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce at Lincoln to add to the Master of Economics degree she already holds.

She especially enjoyed the diverse culture on campus.

“In Lincoln, I made many friends from different cultures. My two best friends at Lincoln are both are from China. I learned more about their culture. They also happy to learn more about Indian culture.”

Rita did the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course before her main study.

“It really helped me in my main course. I did not face any difficulties in assignments and reports because I learned these things in my EAP course.”

She also appreciated her diploma classes.

“I enjoyed the lectures class the most in my course. All the professors are best in their subjects. I enjoyed the face to face interaction with my tutors during the lectures.”

She has her career pathway mapped out.

“My intention is to make a bright career in business management. Now I am on open work visa. So, I am doing fulltime work in an Indian restaurant while also learning management skills there”
