First year ag students receive welcome scholarship boost

14 March 2022 | News

Allied Security Upper South Island Manager James Freeman visited campus recently to meet the 2022 recipients of the three bursaries that are offered each year by the organisation.

Since 2008, the Allied Security Bursary Scholarships, valued at $1,000 for one year, have been supporting Lincoln University students to further their tertiary education.

This year’s scholars are first year agriculture students, Georgia Higinbottom (from Wairarapa College), Angelina Miller (from Ellesmere College) and Lucy Neverman (from Taradale High School).

Georgia and Angelina are both studying for Bachelor of Agricultural Science degrees, while Lucy is working towards a Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture). With all three keen to pursue careers in the agricultural industry, they’re thrilled to receive a helping hand from Allied Security.

The bursaries are open to all full-time undergraduate Lincoln students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
