Xiaomo Yang changed her career direction to follow her passion.

The product management technologist at Westland Milk Products will receive a Master of Science in Food Innovation at the Lincoln University Graduation on 14 May in the Christchurch Town Hall.

She had previously worked in marketing and already has a degree in international trade.

“Coming to New Zealand and Lincoln University to study was a significant change in my life, as I changed my professional field to what I am genuinely passionate about,” she says.

“The university prepared me with the knowledge and skills for my current role and I am proud to be a Lincoln student.

“It is a small university and I enjoyed studying there for the close interaction with the faculty and peers. You can easily run into people who you know on campus and everyone is friendly here, and the lecturers know every student’s name.”

She says that studying at Lincoln was a highlight of her life.

“I got A grades for every course, and got multiple hands-on opportunities, not only with academics but also with industry.”
