Interning at ANZCO Foods has led to a full-time role for Harriet Watson.

The Bachelor of Agribusiness and Food Marketing graduand, who will have her degree conferred at Lincoln University’s Graduation Ceremony on 14 May, grew up on a farm and says she has always been passionate about understanding where her food comes from.

“I studied my degree at Lincoln to develop the skills and tools to contribute to taking the New Zealand story to the world.

“Throughout my studies at Lincoln, I interned at ANZCO Foods during the holidays, spending time across most of the divisions of the business. From there, I secured a full-time role as the Sales Executive – International Trading. My current role involves trading to customers in the South East Asia and Middle East markets.”

She said working in the meat industry had given her an opportunity to gain experience and an understanding of global trade pressures, logistics challenges, and the impact of the US dollar.

“I am passionate about sharing premium New Zealand products with people around the world, and I feel like there is plenty of opportunity to do so in my role at ANZCO.”
