Premier netballers win Christchurch competition again

01 October 2021 | News

The Lincoln University premier netball side is again the best team in the Christchurch competition, for the second consecutive time.

Restrictions because of COVID-19 meant the final couldn’t be played this year (or last, when they were given the accolade of finishing top of the table, with no silverware), but as the side were the top qualifier for the final, they were awarded the 2021 title, and the trophy last night at the Christchurch Netball Centre.

To top off the evening, the club’s voluntary netball administrator, Claire Lewis won the Administrator of the Year award.

Claire has had a long involvement with the club, helping to set up netball at the university 20 years ago.

Netball is part of Lincoln University's successful Sports Scholarship programme.
