What you will learn

After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:

  1. Explain microeconomic concepts including demand and supply, elasticity, productivity, market structures and market failures.
  2. Explain macroeconomic concepts including income distribution and the structure of the financial economy including the calculation of key national economic measures.
  3. Apply microeconomic and macroeconomic principles to private and public management of business, environmental and social problems.
  4. Demonstrate the use of key statistical tools including descriptive statistics, frequency distributions and probability, hypothesis testing, simple linear regression and correlation.
