What you will learn
After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:
- Calculate risk and return and cost of capital, and assess corporate performance measures and payout scenarios.
- Appraise capital asset pricing theory, agency theory, efficient market hypothesis, behavioural finance theories and payout policy, using empirical data or business case studies.
- Critically assess the implications of finance theories on corporate investment and finance policies.
- Evaluate the importance of assumptions, usefulness and limitations of finance theories, and key principles and practices underpinning what financial managers do and why.
