What you will learn

After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:

  1. Calculate risk and return and cost of capital, and assess corporate performance measures and payout scenarios. 
  2. Appraise capital asset pricing theory, agency theory, efficient market hypothesis, behavioural finance theories and payout policy, using empirical data or business case studies. 
  3. Critically assess the implications of finance theories on corporate investment and finance policies. 
  4. Evaluate the importance of assumptions, usefulness and limitations of finance theories, and key principles and practices underpinning what financial managers do and why.
