This course introduces you to the horticultural industry in Aotearoa-New Zealand, together with the range of systems applied and the scientific, technological, environmental and socio-economic inter-relationships.

What you will learn

After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:

  1. Explain and analyse the characteristics of the horticultural industry and different systems operating within it.
  2. Critically review the market and business environment in which horticultural industry systems operate.
  3. Demonstrate that you understand the inter-relationships between and contributions from the various scientific, technological and socio-economic components of the horticultural industry.
