You’ll cultivate your understanding of the growth, development and morphology of microorganisms in association with plants and their interactions with plants in natural and managed ecosystems.

What you will learn

After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:

  1. Recognise major morphological types of microorganisms.
  2. Understand the relative merits of a range of techniques for identifying fungal microorganisms
  3. Isolate and manipulate microorganisms in the laboratory to analyse effects and study morphology.
