Course overview

You’ll take a direct approach to the management of resources to analyse the physical and financial aspects of a whole farm system to achieve farming objectives.

Please note: You will need to pay for your travel to the start of the compulsory New Zealand based field tour associated with this course, but all other travel, accommodation and subsistence costs are covered by course fees.

After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:

  1. Evaluate the impact of management decisions on various New Zealand farming operations.
  2. Discuss land use capability, key aspects of land tenure, and variables impacting the value of agricultural land in New Zealand.
  3. Analyse the key physical, financial, and human resource issues affecting the management of various New Zealand farming systems.
  4. Analyse a range of management decision-making reports for farming systems.
