What you will learn

After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to: 

  1. Explain the main methods of plant propagation.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the effect of variables on cutting propagation and grafting. These include propagation facilities, stock plants, plant health, seasonality and age.
  3. Show that you understand the factors that influence successful propagation by seed.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles and practices involved in growing plants in containers, plant nutrition and nursery hygiene.
