What you will learn
After successfully completing this course, you’ll be able to:
- Describe landform surfaces using contours, spot heights and gradients with regard to the implications and effects of different gradients on land surfaces and structures.
- Identify the physical characteristics of common building materials and how their use influences design decisions.
- Identify the key features of the New Zealand Building Code when applied to the design of site buildings and structures.
- Describe basic design considerations for stormwater detention and drainage solutions with regard to their respective advantages and disadvantages.
