Argyle Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Lincoln University in 2020, in recognition of Mr Gordon Holmes’ contribution to farming and education, particularly that relevant to the Marlborough region.

Background

It is named in recognition of Argyle Farm (formally owned by Mr Holmes), a 433 hectare sheep and cattle property in the Wairau Valley, at the junction of the Wairau and Branch Rivers and 63 kilometres west of Blenheim. The scholarship has been established in order to encourage tertiary study at Lincoln University by members of the Marlborough community. ​
