Environment, Society and Design Summer Scholarships

Do you intend to continue your university studies next year and want to gain valuable research skills?

The Faculty of Environment, Society and Design is offering Summer Scholarship projects for Lincoln students planning to undertake postgraduate study. Both involve undertaking case studies and qualitative fieldwork, conducting interviews and completing data analysis, giving you valuable research experience.

Projects that are currently available

Project 1: Youth civic engagement through emergency - AWARDED

Project 2: Jetties and small settlement regeneration in Banks Peninsula - AWARDED

Project 3: Transforming Christchurch’s residential red zone - AWARDED

Project 4: Visitor experience of New Zealand’s Great Walks: Analysis of existing data - AWARDED

Project 5: Inventory and Analysis in support of a restoration plan for Orana Wildlife Park - AWARDED
(note – project 5 is only available for current MLA (240) students)

Project 6: Animal management: Fast and easy tracking of animals on-farm.  (note – project 6 is only available for current M.App.Comp. (240 credit) students)

  • New Zealand citizens or permanent resident students
