Tait Foundation Scholarships
Research Masters and PhD postgraduate scholarships.
Lincoln University is pleased to partner with the Tait Communications to offer the Tait Foundation Research Masters and PhD postgraduate scholarships, supporting research in the area of technology and the land.
For more than 50 years, Tait Communications has been designing, delivering and supporting critical communications solutions for public safety, transportation and utility customers around the world. Tait Foundation is a charitable foundation and principal shareholder of Tait Communications.
Lincoln University is now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from prospective applicants who are eligible to study for one of its qualifying research programmes, and have demonstrated a commitment and interest in technology and land-based industries.
Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents. For the avoidance of doubt, Citizens and Permanent Residents of Australia can, under most circumstances, be classed as New Zealand residents and can apply.
Two stage application process
Applications for the Tait Foundation Scholarships involve a two-stage process:
Stage 1
All prospective applicants must lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) as soon as possible:
- Masters’ Scholarship EOI's close Tuesday 22nd October 2024
- Doctoral Scholarship EOI’s close Thursday 31st October 2024

Stage 2
If your EOI is deemed eligible and suitable, we will invite you to submit a full scholarship application. Scholarship applications from applicants who have not had an approved EOI will not be considered for funding.
Full Scholarship applications due dates are:
- Masters’ Scholarship close Thursday 31st October 2024
- Doctoral Scholarship close Sunday 17th November 2024
