Two of the three years Mils Gray studied may have been affected by COVID but that hasn't held her back from completing her degree and landing a fantastic job.

Mils was on-campus this afternoon for a celebration for graduates, held after the postponement of the graduation ceremony, which would have been held today, due to Omicron.

It will now take place in September, and Mils said she will be there in her regalia, along with the many friends she has made at Lincoln.

She collected her Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Management degree, along with many other graduates and their family and friends.

A project manager at Federated Farmers, she works on the "Get Kiwis on Farms" campaign, to encourage new workers into the industry, and said she enjoyed meeting a huge range of people from different backgrounds and helping them get into agriculture.

A Future Leader Scholar at Lincoln she was part of helping other students cope and take care of their themselves, and said online learning had been "a bit testing" but it did teach her how to manage time.

Gain Varghese (pictured above) now has her Master of Science in Food Innovation degree, though she actually completed it in 2020. She travelled from India to collect it, after being unable to come back for the last two years due to border restrictions.

Congratulations to all of our graduates. You can view more photos on our Facebook page.
