Lincoln fee waivers for domestic students

With the food and fibre sectors calling for more qualified professionals, we’re offering a range of free programmes to domestic students from July 2020 until the end of 2021. It’s our way of helping to meet the post-COVID needs of the New Zealand economy.

Now’s your chance to grow into your potential and be part of shaping a world that benefits from a greater relationship with the land. You’ll arrive at your career globally connected, forward thinking and ready to shape tomorrow.

Whether you want to enhance your employability after completing an undergraduate degree, make a career change, or undertake tertiary study for the first time, these programmes present a multitude of opportunities:

To access the fee waiver, simply apply for the programme you would like to pursue. If you’re accepted into the programme, the fees waiver will be applied automatically.

You’ll only need to cover course-related costs (such as buying textbooks) and the Student Services Fee (although if you are studying online, this fee may be reduced**).

*Applies to fee waivers for certificate of university studies, graduate certificates and diplomas, postgraduate certificates and diplomas and taught master’s degrees. Entry criteria apply.

**Conditions apply.

Government-funded fee waivers for domestic students

To support domestic students into jobs in the food and fibre sectors, the Government’s Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund is covering course costs for four Lincoln University sub-degree programmes from July 2020 until December 2022.

No previous tertiary study experience is necessary and you can go on to study for a degree or head straight into a job.

Apply for one of these programmes and enhance your employability by learning specific skills for an essential growth industry:

Each programme includes a practical work component, which involves spending time working on a relevant farm or business, ensuring that you are industry-ready as soon as you graduate.

This funding is separate from the Government’s Fees Free scheme, which you will still be able to access at the end of your programme.
