Are you an international student who has completed Year 12 or Year 13 in a New Zealand high school but hasn't met the UE literacy or English language requirements for university? This programme is designed for you!
Why join the Pathway Language Programme?
- Study over the summer to prepare for university at Lincoln University.
- Experience university-level study and gain valuable academic skills.
- No need for IELTS or other international English language tests. Instead, you'll sit Lincoln University’s internal English proficiency test.
- By successfully completing the programme and meeting the required English language level, students will be eligible to join one of our pre-degree programmes starting on 17 February 2025:
- Pathway Certificate (Foundation)
- First Year Pathway Diploma (leading to the second year of your bachelor's degree)
Please note: You must meet the academic admission requirements for these programmes. These programmes are subject to approval.
You will need to apply and receive a conditional offer for one of our pre-degree programmes prior to the start of the Pathway Language Programme.
What is included in the programme?
- English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses covering:
- Academic writing techniques
- Academic reading skills and strategies for university-level study
- Communication skills for university study
- Opportunity to attend first-year university lectures (once a week)
- Campus tour
- Farewell function with a certificate presentation
Dates
Application closes: 1 December 2024
Pathway Language Programme starts on 6 January 2025 and finishes on 31 January 2025 (4 weeks)
Accommodation
Homestays available in Lincoln and nearby areas, with 3 meals per day included.
Fees
Tuition fee: $2350 NZD (including Student Services fee and insurance)
Homestay fee: $1680 NZD (including 3 meals a day)
English for Further Study Award
Successfully complete the Pathway Language Programme and move into one of our pre-degree programmes, and you’ll receive an $1920NZD English for Further Study Award rebate!
